Funny Friday

Because there are a lot of people in California that take their furiends everywhere with them, this restaurant in Redondo Beach, California, planted a "dog stand."  This would be comprable to that of a "bike stand" 'per-say.'

Another summertime excursion - Kings Harbor - Redondo Beach Ca

We took a drive to Redondo Beach California and visited the pier - Kings Harbor. 

I really liked the art on the corner especially because there were tall shrubs which I really enjoy walking through.  Dad wouldn't stop the car.....

The cloudy day had some sparks of sunshine here and there.  Over all the weather was wonderful!

We walked along the way to some really huge rocks.  This old rusty thingy looks like an old boat slip no longer in use.

I really enjoyed the water and watching the little boats...

Dad tried to make me walk on this wall...... he must have lost a marble or two........ there was no way I would walk on it even for liver treats - way too scary!!!!

I saw someone deep in thought.  I hope he was contemplating what kind of treats to buy his precious doggy!!!

I got really close to this two legged furiend...... I almost got to touch it before snapping the picture!!!!

We kept walking a ways.... no bridge crossing for me today!

I tried to tell Dad that the rocks were ruining my mani and pedi!!!  Would he listen???

Dad!!!!!!! Here comes a furiend and my nails are starting to look scruffy!   DAD!!!!!!!!

I then came across this really cooooool chick on a yacht!  She really lives on it with her mommy!  My mom was talking to her mommy Ruth and found out that Millie likes to sit on the seat and do ride alongs with her mommy on the motorcycle!!!!! WOW!!!  Her mom gave us her email address and said she would email us some photos of Millie riding on the bike and wearing goggles!!!!!  When we get them I will share!!!!

A summer day excursion - Wildlife Sanctuary

We went to the Wildlife Sanctuary. It was really hot out that day!

Grandkid girly wanted me to be in charge of walking her.

We came across this really cool bird house....... someone said they thought it was a squirrel house???? Yikes run!

So grandkid girly and I went and walked with dad. 

She said we would be safe with dad!

OMD!  Then we really were glad we were walking with dad because the notice below said there was resent snake sightings! 

Were were there on July 18th!  Scary!!!!!!

We then decided to go look for the koi and water turtles...

Didn't find any on that side so we crossed the bridge.

  I wanted to jump in the water it was so hot!!!!

I didn't have a penny to drop in the wishing well.

So we kept walking to see what else we would discover.....

I wasn't quite sure what had dad's attention,

but whatever it was, he was pretty busy with it.....

I found the water turtle! He is swimming around! 

I then found a huge land turtle!!!!!

Then I found two more ginormous land turtles!  No! wait!  Those are furiends  - huh? Coming out of the public bathrooms!!!   BOL!!!!!!!

I came across a goat that had been rescued during the fires last year.

Mom and dad said I had to give a donation to the wildlife sanctuary because it helps to maintain the grounds and allows me to be able to come back and enjoy this place.  I was a bit upset because I couldn't have a coin to toss in the wishing well.  Oh well.... she's probably right anyway......
