A snake in the grass - SOS

This is what I was greeted with this morning as I attempted to go outside to take care of my girlie stuff.  I was terribly frightened!  Where are all the strong and brave men when you need them?

    WOW Hailey! That is super scary!! We've only ever seen snake skin around here on our deck, have yet to see the snake himself. Before you go outside, make sure to look so he's not still hanging around!

    Hailey - We don't like the snakes either, or rather, our MOM doesn't like snakes and screams for us to stay away whenever she sees one!

    OMD! I bet you peed on yourself! BOL I would have.

    My mom says she thinks that is a western garter snake. If so, they are harmless... unless you are a frog, mouse or worm.
