A start of a new year

Happy New Year!!

Last year was a pretty tough year for mommy: her sickies got a lot worse - March 2011, her biopsy showed her fatty liver disease turned into Cirrhosis of the Liver stage 4. The year before (4/10) she was stage 3 fatty liver disease. She worked really hard in 2010 to get as healthy as possible. We all had helped too! We went for alot of walkies and mommie lost lots of weight. Her doctor was very pleased with her results. He had even told us we could keep our liver about 10 years. So when we found out that was not true anymore, her doctor had lots more test done to see why we went to stage 4. After a while, they told her she had a genetic disorder called Alpha-1. They said she had pretty much lost 10 years of her life! Geezers! I am sure glad hooman years are not like dog years! So mommy now has to be really careful of what she eats and things she does. She seems to always be happy and smiling, but Lala and I sleep with her and we really know her the bestest. She is always in pain and not feeling well. She never complains though. So me and Lala make sure we are always by her side keeping her happy. I just wish she wouldn't work soooo much. But she says that if we want our snackies, then she has to go to work. So we make sure she goes everyday! Except for yesterday and today. We are taking care of her because she is not feeling well and the doctor said she couldn't go to work for two days.

Our Auntie Sylv (the one with lung cancer) was diagnosed in September with that ugly C monster in her thinking cap. She went over the rainbow on November 16th. Mommy was very, very sad. we were worried about her because she didn't cry like she usually does when doggies go over the rainbow. But she said it is because we are strong in our walk with God and it's ok for auntie S to be in heaven now. But I hear her late at night. I just snuggle up to her and let her know how much I love her.

So, you see why I just didn't have the heart to pester her as often enough to catch up on my blogging. This year, I KNOW it's going to be a fantastic year not just because of blogging, but mom really needs to get it together and focus on moi! OOOOOHHHHHHHH!!!!! We got Mommy a new laptop computer with lotts of brains in it and it is super fast! She was so impressed with our gift she has been working on it the past few days to get it all set up. NOW there is no excuse for her not doing her Mommy duties efficiently!!

And guess what!!! Remember last christmas 2010 we introduced our newest little puppy to the family??? Well she is now walking, says a few words like stop, kitty, doggie and daddy. She just turned 7!!! Oh ok..... 1 year.

Hi efurryone!!!! It's me, Lollie!! I'm gonna quickly post this before Hailey catches me, seeing as how this is "her" block. Yea right! Who's picture is up first on the website!!! Need I say more......

Just have to share with you about our mommy walk, she calls it our dog walk, but we know better that if she doesn't get out there and walk..... Thunder thighs!!!! OMD! I crack myself up sometimes!!! Anywho.... I got into my first dog fight! This was another crazy female that had not had her morning protein!!! She was crabby and was so upset because I was walking on her sidewalk.... Her walker was ruuuuuuude as well!

But I showed her who's the boss around here! My mom pulled me away and it's a good thing she did because that "huge" rude dog would have been hiiiissssttttooorrrry!! Mom didnt have her flashy box....... Geeeeezers! Where' the pupparazzi when you need them.

Saturday Morning Blog Hop!

Good morning my 4 legged peeps! Yup! I know it's hard to believe that the bi-ped human of a secretary "actually" got her hiney out of bed to work! Let alone for moi! Then, she couldn't even post bcuz she decided that she needed more beauty sleep! But - I gotta admit, beauty sleep sure did sound wonderful.... needless to say, I zonked out too! So my ever beloved Lala (bless her tiny little pawsies) captured me attempting to do my own post!
Good little help is always welcomed!

Update: Mom is doing great so far! She finally had knee surgery - ya think she would have utilized the time to catch up on my blogging while she was O U T of commission, but No....... she, as always, thinks of herself........ now she is back to work hopping around. TEEE HEEEEEE - no correlation to Saturday Blog Hop!
We've missed everyone and need to do a lot of catching up on the gossip around town!
Please do bring Lala and I up to speed!!

Happy ME 4th Gotcha day!!!!!

I can't believe that it's my "4th" Gotcha Day!!!! Yes. That officially now makes me 6 years young and loving it! I won't make excuses for not posting this yesterday, but you know how it is when good quality help it hard to find. In my case, it's been quite obvious! But I love my mom - I am so glad she took a chance on me 4 years ago. would have it no other way! I am also very thankful for little Miss Lala. She is sooooo cute and has really grown on me through the months. She is fun to be around now..... she's grown up a bit.

Since I missed my 100th post, and almost my gotcha day! I am donating $1.00 for each furry and non furry friends that drop by within the next 72 hours and shares the love. Money will be donated to the precious people (Love you Nancy 1&2) Perfect Pet Rescue in Los Angeles, Ca. This is the place that saved my life and found me my mom. This is also the place that my brother Dylan came from. Be sure to spread the word to everyone so that they drop in and we raise lots and lots of love!

Mom has been pretty busy with the new puppy - she is already 2 months! She is now smiling and gurgling. She tells me lots of stories! She is so fun to be around. Last month her mommy got sick and had to go back to the hospital. Guess who was puppy sitting for a long time!?!?! You got it! ME!!!!! Mom has not had any time to use the flashy box on us....... I guess that's a good thing... sometimes... but not in this case. I will get mom to step up her beat and use the flashy box ( I can't believe I said that twice already) and start posting again!!!!!

Last week it was soooooooo cold and windy, mom decided to torture us and take us to the beach. Can you believe her??????? But that's her favorite place to be alll year round! We had a great time (I hate sand). This was Lollies first time at the beach. She loved it!!!

Our puppy finally arrived!

Happy New Year! We hope efurryone's holiday's were full of good cheer and that this year brings us an abundant amount of snackies!!!!!! Oh! You're wondering whats all the whisper about the arrival of our new puppy?! Well let me take you a ways back to last summer. Remember when I did a blog in July about my "niece" Lala having to come stay with us for awhile, then she got to live her permanently (this is why I now call her my sister. Even though she is technically my niece, we are so close to eachother that we act more like sister's). Then she told us why her name was changed from Bella to Lala..... Lala-Bella........ Bella-Lala....?! All the changes are a result of our upcoming arrival of our little puppy.

Well, our little puppy finally arrived!!!! Are you ready to see how adorably cute she is? I am so thrilled that she looks a lot like me!!!! I'm a proud Auntie! Ready to see some of the picks we took when our puppy arrived?!?!?

Isn't she just a precious little angel?!?! Do you see the resemplance between her and I?! We both like to nappy with our hand near our face! Can you imagine that!!!!!!

When she arrived, we were so excited to meet our little puppy that Lala brought her toy to her. I had to expalin to Lala that our puppy can't walk and play just yet. Nor could she talk - she only cries and eats and poo's.

We were even double-triple sure that this puppy resembles

me in more that just our physical beauty - but in our likes & dislikes as well!

Our little puppy really ~~hates~~ doesn't like taking baths either!

Except she let out a loud scream and told us!

Bath time was sooooo exhausting for all of us that we just snuggled up together and took a nappie!!!! Except I couldn't concentrate on sleeping because afterall, I do have a big responsibility now! I kept watch while the two little ones snoozed.

OMD!!!! It's prezzie time!

Ho Ho Ho efurybody!!!!!! We participated in Jazzy's Gift Exchange this year and boy was it every exciting!!! We must say that our mom, although we love her dearly from here to infinity and beyond, was pretty slow at mailing our prezzie's to Minnie, who Lala had, and Minna Krebs, who I had. BUTT there we was patiently waiting...... becuz our prezzies from Buttons, who had me, and Carmen , who had Lala, came RIGHT ON TIME just as the game instructions were posted! They are both soooo lucky their Mom knows HOW TO FOLLOW DIRECTIONS!!!!!! It doesn't matter that our Mom works way too many hours and has been helping our human sister (whose gonna have a puppy any day!). We wrote a letter to Santa and asked him to slow her down!!! We hope he send a reply soon!!

So we kept looking out the window to see if Mr Postman was coming and finally a knock on the front door.

Mr Postperson brought our prezzies..... but Mom would not let us open them until both Minnie & Minna Krebs were in the mail. She said it was only fair. We don't want to be cheesy, but we really had to wait and wait and wait. And then finally it was our time to investigate!!!

Of course, I got to go first, being the oldest and all...... my little nephew Eddie, was also investigating with Lala too.

Something smells really DELICIOUS in here!!!!! I wonder what it can be?

OMD!!!!!! Button's is one smart cookie!!!!!! I got ALL MY FAV's!!!!!!! Bil Jac Liver Treats!!!! I LOOOOOOOOVVE them! and then a bag of Dentley's Chicken Dumbbells (really! how did Button's know this one too!!!!!) Hmmmmmm.... I wonder if Button's called the Psychic Hotline????

and the bestest of all is my beautiful chic Leopard Slipper!!! It's a squeaker!!!!!!

And give me one good reason why I should have to share my prezzies with Lala & Eddie. The box was ADDRESSED TO ME!!!!! No, that's not me growling at them....... teee-heeee.

They just better stay away cuz this gal is NOT sharing!!!

To all our furiends! We're back!

Hi everyone!! We finally got mom to ~~get off~~ set her priorities straight. We ~~demanded~~ politely asked her to at least have some kind of consideration for us and take ONE measly picture of us and post it so all our furiends can see we are OK! I even showed her how some furiends posted 2 and 3 times on our last post leaving us nice comments for the past 3 weeks. I told her our furiends were going to think Alien took us and lost us some where out there!! Just look at the ~~horrible~~ cute picture of Lala & I ~~bored out of our minds~~ resting on the couch.

Now listen to this. She ~~had the nerve to tell us~~ explained she was ~~too busy for us~~ teaching us a lesson!!! ~~A lesson, in what????~~ She said that we ~~and our furiends~~ ~~complain~~ don't care so much for the flashy box and are always ~~complaining~~ commenting on our posts that we don't like them. So on behalf of all the ~~secretaries~~ mom's, she ~~was making an example~~ teaching us a life lesson to be "Thankful for what we have" because you'll never know when you just might not have it any longer.

Ok. I've gotta say that it being Thanksgiving and all, I did believe her. BUT WAIT!!!!! How come Lala and I spent Thanksgiving alone in our crates while she went to off to enjoy her turkey dinner!!???? Now where's the compassion?! Look at our picture. It's worth a 1000 words.

Anipal Photo Hunt #12 Dia de Los Muertos/All Souls Day

Dia de los muertos ~ The day of the dead
It sounds like a movie.

The Day of the Dead is a tradition that dates back to the ancient civilization of the Aztecs. This tradition was originally held during the Aztec month of Miccailhuitontli, which falls during the months of July and August. After the arrival of the Spanish, the Catholic church converted the tradition to fit their tradition of All Saints Day, or El Día de Todos los Santos. It is custom to honor the people who have passed away with flowers called zempaxochitl, or marigold flowers. The dead are celebrated not only with flowers, but also with the cleaning of graves and altars that have ofrendas (offerings) for the dead. The offerings consist of el pan de muerto (the bread of the dead), sugar skulls, copal incense, velas (candles), favorite foods, drinks, and any other favorite object of the deceased. The offerings are done so that the dead may once again enjoy the things that they once loved.

El Día de los Muertos is a day to remember our loved ones who have left the world of the living with stories and good things about them and by rejoicing in the idea that they will be enjoying their favorite things once again. For my mom, it is a combination day. For on this day, 29 years ago, her mom went to the bridge. There are other family and friends as well, but I wanted to just mention this as it is near and dear to our heart's.

I am honoring my brother Dylan.

Although I never had the opportunity to meet Dylan while he lived with mom, I do hope that our path's crossed. We both came from the same rescue agency. I followed a month or so later. Mom still thinks of him and visits his website. If you want to visit as well, click on the picture of him on my sidebar. In remembrance of my brother, mom wears a dog charm on her bracelet. Here are some picture's from a Dia del los muertos function that mom attended last year. She is going to another one this weekend.

That little rascal.... we tried........

I was just about to post my Saturday Blog Hop post when all of a sudden I heard car horns beeping and people saying "...she went that way!!" I jumped off the couch and ran towards the window to to discover that a neighbor carelessly let their pooch out to water the garden WITHOUT a leash on. I know you're probably saying .... what's the big deal, right? Well, where we live, there is a very busy street and that's where the pooch ran off to. We decided that we would go help ~~capture~~ rescue the pooch, as it clearly was not coming back when being called. We gathered into the truck. A neighbor said he thought the pooch ran into the park across the street. NOT GOOD. Because this is a wilderness park.

We kept walking to see if we could find the mom running around or at least the pooch. Attempting to locate some type of scent..........

Lala was very determined to find the little lhaso apso. You know how us rescued pooches feel about situations like that.......

We thought maybe we would look under the branches.... or nest????

We looked in the bushes.....

Nothing here......

We did see some pine cones (well they were dried up) and thought of our furiends that love to eat them!!!!

We found ourselves without any success in the wilderness. Hooman niece suggested we go into the regular park to see if we could find the pooch.....

Lala was still very, very upset at this point because, her being a new rescued one herself, she just wanted to find the pooch safe.

We sniffed and sniffed and sniffed............. but nothing.

However, we did come across rabbit poopies. There are a lot of wild rabbit's here. We tried to take a picture of one hiding, but we weren't successful at that either.

We sincerely hope that the little Lhaso Ahpso is found safe and unharmed. As of this posting (two hours later) pooch has not been found. The pawents are still out there. We came back home because hooman niece was a bit hot to the touch and we realized she had fever. Besides it began to sprinkle. Although we have never met the pooch or it's pawents, we will let you know once we hear anything. Keep the paws crossed.

Yea! We're finally going on an outing?? NOT!

This was to be a family funday, Sunday! Mom got us all excited to go on an outing! We hadn't been on an outing in awhile, well, ok, we did go to the dog park a couple of weeks ago......

Anyway. Back on current subject....

Lala, Mom and I loaded up in the truck and we were off! Before I knew it, we were ~~barking~~ telling the lady at the toll road booth how ~~anoyed~~ excited we were to see her!

Soon after, we pulled into the parking of PETSMART. Mom told me I was going to see Christina.

I knew then that it meant I was going to the groomer.

I wasn't very excited and neither was Lala. She really hates taking baths.

But mom was quick to tell her that we were only dropping me off at the groomer's. They were going some place else. Now that really pooooed me off!!!!! She was getting quality time with mom. I do admit I was really feeling a bit jealous.

We walked me in......... and said our good-byes. Lala wasn't very happy......

Mom said she kept crying for me for about 15 minutes. I felt sooooo horrible!!! She was really missing me!!! Awww....... my little sweet cutie patootie!!!!

But then they arrived at Lala's destination..........

Oh no...... she was there to get her immunization's and a have a check up. I wasn't there to ~~console~~ make her laugh. Now I really feel horrible..... While in the waiting room, she met Ruby the cat. She kinda freaked out and attempted to get up on the chair. She was oblivious that Ruby was in a crate and couldn't get out.

She really relaxed when she met Ruben. He is Ruby's brother. Lala really was tickled to meet him.

It was Lala's turn to go into the exam room. She was shaking, coughing and everything else, weirding out!!!

Lala weighed in at 8.6 lbs! Woweee! Where does she store it?! Her teeth were excellent. Her heart rate went tadum, tadum, tadum....... it too, was healthy!! Mom told the vet about her attacks. Were not sure if they really are anxiety attacks or allergy. Mom thinks anxiety because that is usually when she has them. Mom can have her tested for allergies, if that's the route, then ouch!!! Then it came time to have the technician come in and administer the "shot's." But....... they waited..... and waited....... and waited..... So mom and her played with the mobile flashy box. Here's a picture of them.

Lala was getting really nervous with anticipation...... she whispered to mom that she thinks she had to go and visit the rose bushes.

She was taking care of the garden.........

Not sure why she always has to sniff it after.... do any of you have sister's that do that?

The technician finally came in.......

She thought the needles were ginormous!!!

Soon it was over and they went into the lobby to pay the bill. She then met Sam..... Lala told Sam not to mess with her cuz she was not the happiest right now.

Back in the car she just laid in her car seat..... poor Lala.

Soon they went and picked me up from the groomers and we went and had ice cream. Well mom did any way. We ate our food. Lala was beginning to feel a bit better after mom let her have a few ice cream licks.

Once we arrived home, she slept for the duration of the day and into the night. I knew she wasn't feeling well so I stayed close by her at all times. I watched over her while she slept.........

I love you Lalie!!!!!

RIP - Sir Claude

Sometimes..... we don't realize how other's posts have an impact on all of us ~ at least for myself. I had not intended to post this morning, but after reading about Claude crossing the bridge, I knew I had to. Shawnee's mom is not looking to mourn Sir Claude, but to rejoice in the life he had. Please stop by and read the wonderful and precious life Sir Claude had because of his Rescue Angel aka Shawnee's mom. I recommend you take a case of tissue with you.
After that, please visit Attie Cattie's post for today, titled "Kitteh heavens" to view the most beautiful pictures of the entry way to The Bridge. I read this post right after reading about Sir Claude. It was not only comforting, but inspirational.

Have you ever had an annoying moment with the hooman's or perhaps with another relation?

This weeks entry is just that ~ Those annoyances!

They make noise when you're trying to sleep ~ They fart and blame it on you ~ They take you on a walk, but you're still on a leash ~ They make you wear clothes even though they know you hate it. HOW ANNOYING!

My annoyances are with my mom and Lala.

OK. This is not only annoying ~ it's extremely annoying! Everyone knows I ~~really~~ hate to wear clothes as it is. Then mom puts me with her dolls and says 'Where's Hailey?! Which cutie doll is Hailey?!"

Hello!!!! Yea this is annoying all right. Now what makes it more annoying is she posts the picture too!!!!

This one is annoying because not only am I wearing a dress that says "Spoiled"

Ms Lala is posing and really enjoying herself. This makes mom happy, but annoys the heck out of me.

Well Ms. Hailey! Do YOU have any idea what is annoying me right now????? YOU! You're ruining the picture by not smiling and looking pretty just like me!!!!!!

Reading about her wonderful weekend long celebration for her daddy ~ it was his birthday! Asta took her parents over to Central Park. She even took them on the subway! While they were there, she decided that she would get her

Canine Good Citizen Certificate.

This is one gal I know that has such a beautiful and

GREAT BIG UNCONDITIONAL HEART

Asta was (once again, thinking of other's) already planning how many ways she could help other's by earning this. It would allow her to do lot's of wonderful things. She had planned on using it to help hooman's feel better, especially the ill and the elderly! She had one particular place in mind that she would love to be able to assist at. People that would be so grateful for her oodles of love. What a pawsome idea! I was so excited as I kept reading her blog. I watched the pawsome video of ASTA taking all the test! What a wonderful gal! She did a fantastic job! I was so proud of her and was looking forward to seeing the certificate. Then there were the horrible words that saddened me. It broke her heart. Not because she wanted to stick a feather in her hat. Without this certificate she could not help other's. But there it was. She didn't pass. I stood up and said WHAT?!?!?!? That couldn't be. She did an excellent job! I thought that maybe she was so excited that perhaps it was a typo error or something. My gosh! Just watching the video was so exciting! Lala and I were cheering her on! But no. As disappointing as it was, Asta failed the test. WHY you ask? Because ONE HOOMAN said that kissing is not acceptable!!!! WHAT?????? Smoochies are wrong?! I had my mom come read the blog and asked her if smoochies were wrong, then I have been doing a naughty thing. My mom said no! Smoochies are not wrong. Whew! Because I know that's what we pooches do!!!!! Not only do we love to smooch.

WE LOVE THE HOOMAN's UNCONDITIONALLY!

We never ask for much, if anything at all. We are always the first one's there when you need a hug. We know when to make you laugh (and we laugh too when we make you upset!). BOL! (You know what I'm saying). I could not believe it! Why on this earth would they fail her for SMOOCHING???

No Asta.... it is not wrong for smooching and for one iota of a minute should you ever think that it is. Mommy is RIGHT! That hooman was wrong.

I decided that ASTA should still recieve some type of an award for her ~~unselfish~~ great deed. I presented her (just keep in mind that I am not too puter savy with making things just yet) with a Good Citizen Award. I know I am not the only one that thinks this of Ms. Asta. WE in her HONOR shall ALL post a copy of this award on our blogs to let her know how very proud we are of her.

Ok..... so there I am in my diva buggy minding my own business, singing, "Good day sunshine!" because it's Beatles Sunday; a warm and beautiful day to take the parents out for a walk. We were at the Long Beach Antique Swap meet, yup, their toys and knick knacks.... (there I go again, side tracked with nonsense).......... so minding my own business singing and I see this really, and I mean REALLLLY strange character walking towards my direction muttering "....... free the dog .......... free the dog......." Not only did he weird me out, but for a minute there I really thought he was speaking about moi! I said to myself, "Now Hailey, you know you're not a dog, and even if you were, honey, why in the world would you want to be free?" Ah yes!!!! I'm so right (once again)! I took a picture of this fellow so that you can make your own decision as to what his situation is,his situation is.

Mom said if I didn't have anything nice to say, then I couldn't say anything. But you know moi! He's a weirdo!!!!!!! He was walking around telling people they needed to have a hat like his. He would shake his head forward and the big flap would fall forward and give him shade. Then he would shake his head backward and then he would have no shade, all the while saying ".. shade - no shade.." People were making nice one line comments to him and taking his picture. I must admit, I was jealous cuz there were no cameras on moi!!!

I simply can't finish singing my song without all these interruptions! All I am trying to do is walk the old folks and sing my song! Now you really have got to hear this one. It's a doozy!!!! This other wacky lady comes up to me and says ... "arf ~ arf.." I look back at her and tell her "Lady, are you for real? Are you a real dog?

I really have got to share this awesome bike I saw! I overheard my mom say that it kinda reminded her of the Pee-Wee Herman bicycle....... who is Pee-Wee Herman and how come I haven't met this guy? Movin' forward........ this bike is so cool, even Monkey was in the basket! I wonder if Anthony knows that Monkey was out on a Sunday without him! Hmmmmm....... where's my cell phone...

The bike is really super nifty! If you look really, really close ( I tried my best!) in between the spoke were figurines of the Simpson's, Looney ~ Tunes (hee-hee, that's funny).

I found a fabulous buy today!!!!!!!!!!! I purchased the 'Incredible Hulk Diesel Train' MIB (mint in box) for - oh I can't reveal what I paid for it cuz then I may cause problems with dad. All I can say is it was a steal!!!!!! My dad posted it to the Mego Museum to offer it to his friends first. I wanted to play with it, but they said to keep my paws off of it. But that's not all I found! An open box, but MINT condition Flintstones Train set. All figures are still in sealed packages. I was stoked! Dad hasn't taken a picture of it yet, so I can't you this one. But I am excited!!!
I had a lovely Sunday walking the old folks. They wore me out. Once I got them home and fed, mom took a three hour nap!!!!! I took one with her too!!!!!!!!

Hey efuryone..... Um..... we don't really have a great excuse, but you know how Lala is new to the family, right???? You DO remember me blogging about it, RIGHT!!???...... come on efuryone........ you DO remember!!!!!! Well Lala's paperwork just arrived at our house yesterday and my mom discovered that WE MISSED LALA's 2nd Birthday!!!!!! It was on September 29th ~ She's a Libra just like my mom.
So I went out shopping for her early this morning because she was soooooooo upset last night. I called her about 15 minutes ago and told her I had a surprise for her and to come out to the car cuz I am waiting for her......... and waiting for her....... and.......

I DON'T NEED THEM TO CELEBRATE now do I!!!!!! I went to the machine and took out some green papers and I'm having my own party!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Mom!!!!!

In honor of my mom's 50th birthday today,

(oh crap, I did it again, you didn't hear it from me!) I gave her the day off, so I am doing today's post. This is an old picture from last year (8.2009) when we went to the beach to watch the sunset. These are two of her favorite things to do besides be with MOI!

It's one of my favorites because it was during a difficult time in our life and we knew we could depend on one another ~ no matter what obstacle came our way!!

Since this picture , mom has been diagnosed with a life altering liver disease.

We have since fired her original doctor (who was very negative) and found her a fantastic "liver guru" doctor (Dr Tarek Hassanein). Mom has remained very positive and continues to be extremely motivated in getting as healthy as possible. She has even lost a lot of weight already.

This makes me very proud because I take her on daily walkies!!!

We all remain positivee by moving in the right direction. And that direction is forward bound!

Liver disease is often unknown or misunderstood. Here are some compelling statistics:

* 1 out of every 10 Americans is affected by about 100 types of liver disease. That is 30 million people -- the number of people in the United States living with diabetes and cancer combined, and the same number of people who live in America's 15 largest cities.
* 60% of the 26,000 people who die each year from cirrhosis have no history of alcohol abuse.
* Nearly 17,000 people are on the waiting list for a liver transplant.

The American Liver Foundation (ALF) is dedicated to a future where there are effective treatments, cures, and no one dies waiting for a liver transplant. The ALF mission is to facilitate, advocate and promote education, support and research for the prevention, treatment and cure of liver disease.

This has been a Life Changing eye opener, not just for my mom, but for her children and grandchildren as well. She like many others, hope and dream that finding a cure for this life-threatening illness is soon. My mom is a part of the American Liver Foundation (ALF) Liver Life Walk team. Her next walk is this January 2011, Carlsbad, California. She and my hooman sister are doing another walk together.

I would like efuryone to take a moment and read a little bit about Liver disease. It's another scary monster that is surfacing faster than we realize and you never know what furiend (or foe) it may attack.

I love my mommy with all my heart and I know that my mission in this life is to make her as happy as possible. So all my furfriends, hugs your pawents and let them know how blessed you both are to have one another. I sure am thankful that I rescued her!!!!!! Well.... that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!

Oh, I am sooooooo excited!!!! I simply had to post this ASAP and share this news with efurryone!!You all remember my post the other day, "That's not me." My beautiful (because she is my double and I AM BEAUTIFUL!) Princess does exist!!! She sent me a message through her mom Phyllis!!!! She keeps telling her mom how much we really look alike!!! But the very sad news is that Princess doesn't have a doggieblog....... (sad face). I say let's all get together and petition Princess's mom in to letting her blog every now and now..... Bol! I bet if we all get together, we can come up with some creative (& persuasive)pawsome ideas!!!! Open for suggestions!!!!! Oh yea!!!! I almost forget to add that we are both wearing our pink collars!!!!!!

I was going through some of my mom's older picture's to do a post today because she left for work and didn't do one of ME!! So I thought I would share some of my favorite pictures from a trip she took July 2009 to Florida to visit her sister.

This was from here trip to Key West. The highway runs through the Atlantic Ocean! Mom says there are really big alligators that live in the water.

This should have been me sitting on my mom's lap looking out the window at the the beautiful blue water!

Mom said that the houses alongside the highway are on stilts because during hurricane seasons the water would cover these house and since they were up high, they would avoid the possibility of being washed away. That's scary! Imagine me trying to jump out the 2nd floor to find that the house is already up on the 2nd floor! Yikes!

This is a small island just off the end of Key West. Bet I could swim there and back!

After driving on the long bridge, they made it to the end of Florida Key's: Key West.

Here's where they make Key Lime Pie's.... mmmmmm!!!!

Bet I could have chased Mr. Rooster all over the island. Somehow I feel that he probably would have ended up chasing Moi because it was too hot and humid. My hair would have frizzed!

BTW..... Dog's in Key West look really funny.

Good morning Monday

While taking my early morning stroll one day, I sniffed to discover this wonderful aromatic scent that sent me into complete happiness! As intoxicating as it may be, I wasn't sure what my eyes were viewing, thus causing my curiosity to peak even more. To my discovery, it was a tiny Christmas tree in the making! So fragile I wanted to take it home! I simply adore Christmas! Present giving time!

The weather outside is getting really hot again! . I am going to relax a bit under my cozy tree and surf the net awhile. Maybe mom will bring me a bowl of water with ice, or just ice chips too!!!

I was surfing the net after my walk today and look what I found on Time.com! OMG! What would they think of next? A salon in China which caters to us exclusively! Mom! Get the name of the salon..... Make my appointment! Gotta have it!

This is how they color the hair! I would absolutely want this for Moi! ...... and they even use detangling hair products so your hair doesn't get caught in the comb! This guy is beginning to look like a salad in the making!
Not sure if I could tolerate the eyebrow plucking. I'm a hot wax girl!

Oh my..... they got carried away with the plucking! Yikes!!!!

Relaxation!Now were talking! I just simply love, love, love the nails! I wonder if they have boots in my size. Dad absolutely would have a cow! Mooo!

Bathtime ~ I had to show her how it's done

Ok. So mom comes home the other day and tells Lala that she is going to take a bath. Oh no! I thought... that horrible b word! I ran and laid in my bed in hopes that she will not tell me that! I ~~hate~~ despise baths!!! So there was Lala, her happy self jumping for joy! I thought, yup, she won't be jumping for joy in a minute! Boy, if there was a prize for the smartest gal, I would be RICH!

Lala was WORST than me at bath time. She squirmed and tried several times to jump out of the kitchen sink. It was hilarious because she was doing to mom what I never could...... She had mom soaking wet from trying to keep Lala still. Lala even managed to pull the dry towel into the sink causing it to get totally soaked just like her. I stood there watching and wagging my tail. Mom thought I was laughing at Lala, but Lala & I knew better! I was happy I found someone to get HER all wet!

Once Lala was done, I snapped a few pictures of her to show you how cute she looks!

I couldn't resist sharing this picture too! Lala is smiling because she got mom all wet for me! Boy I love Lala's quick witted thinking!!!!!

I then had to show her the proper way to dry off with the towel. It's my favorite way to dry without the horrible and scary hair dryer we use in the winter time!

Now we do our stretching exercises to make sure we are all relaxed!

Mom! Lala is a very fast learner! I am sooo proud of her!

No youTUBE Tuesday today - it's Lala's fault!

Mom hasn't been able to get me out for walks much since July 8th..... yup. I remember that day all too vividly! We were in the rain, yes, in the middle of hot July SUMMER. The rain was pouring down like hooman's (get it??) and we were are are way back down the hill from a two mile walk-jog and pow!!!!! Mom thought she was invincible and jogged down hill a bit too much and goofed up her knee. It's still not better....... anyway.... back to my subject.... so Sunday evening mom said ".... let's go for a walkiee!!" I just could not believe my ears. Yup and I knew with ears my size, that I most certainly heard right! She said we were going to go to walk the lake! I was sooooo excited! I got my harness and leash on without fail. We had to drive there because it is about 8 miles away. We finally arrived!

It was sooooo beautiful! The sun was setting and the lake was very very calm and happy because there were a lot of doggies out walking their hooman's too!

So as I was trying to scope out the guys there......I was NEVER more embarrassed in my WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE~ Guess how Lala behaved?

You GOT that RIGHT! She was jumping up and down, barking at everything and everybody.... my mom was having a difficult time trying to contain her........I tried to hid from the embarrassment....

Then I decided to take a sneak around to look to see if any of the "doggies" were ~~laughing at us~~ watching us.....

When what do you think I found Lala doing next?????? OMD!!!!!

She looked around to see who was ~~laughing still~~ not paying attention to her....

She crept up on top of a huge rock, despite my mommy telling her not to....

She said all she wanted to do was get a better look at the moon waking up..... it really was a beautiful moon that I almost BELIEVED HER!!!

Noooooo she didn't!

Yes she DID! She was doing her "work out!" This is NOT the place or time!!!

What nerve! She KNEW she was embarrassing me cuz I caught her looking back at me!

My head began to spin round and round..... I just wanted to find a rock and crawl under it!!!!

She had some nerve..... "Auntie, are you ok?"

I couldn't take it anymore....... now she thought it was totally hilarious!!!

I left her there......... I needed to try and save my face......... "Auntie wait for me!"

We finally made it home....... Poor little one........ she was exhausted. How could I stay mad at her.

Isn't she just a cutie snoring away!!!! Bol!!!

Hi everyone! I'm Lala. A two year old mini pincher and Hailey's beautiful & hyper niece! I'm staying here with her for awhile and noticed all the blogging going on. I would love my own bloggie, but I am not sure if my mommy would have time to bloggie because she is having a baby in December!!!!! I am sooooo thrilled because it is going to be a lil girl just like me!!!! Wanna know why my name is Lala? It's because when my mommy rescued me my name was Bella. It's such a beautiful name. One problem... well, not really a problem, like auntie says, there are no problems ~ just situations! My situation was that my mommy & daddy already picked out the name for my new soon to be baby sister - Isabella Yazmine. They plan on calling her Bella. So when I came along (2 months ago) they decided not to alter my name too much and call me Lala! Lala.... Bella...... Lala...... Bella..... It does sound similiar but still able to tell the difference. I like my new name! I am so proud to give my name to my soon to be baby sister!

Friday the 13th

So when my Mom left for work this morning, she distinctively remembers placing me in my crate for the day. I can't say that she "actually" locked the crate door properly (smiling), because when she came home, oh boy........ was she ~~very angry~~ happy to see me "greet" her at the front door!

I had gotten in the trash..... although I didn't know then what I know now, that the trash only contained lots of paper and a no food! But I had a great time making paper dolls with it!

I also went into Mom's closet and played dress up by pulling out some of her purses and shoes........

I also had so much fun that I did a sissy on the floor on the living room (red faced). Mom threatened to put a picture of that too..... but I guess she saved my face.

I tried my hardest to tell her that all I did was lay in her bed all day with my blankie and listed to the radio! Geez Louise! What does a gal have to do to get her mom to believe her these days!

Mom expressed her loving joy with me by making me stay in my bed for what seemed like eons......

I guess she had a bad day today because she took it out on me......

So earlier this evening, Mom and Dad were watching the Food Network Drives & dives...... They were talking about scrumptious bar-b-que ribs. So there they went.... to have ribs. Dad came home and put this aside for me. More like high atop...... He said I had to eat all my din-din before I could have it.

I could not eat my food fast enough. It had been a long time since I had a scrumptious beef bone!!!!

Here are some very special Valentine's day cookies and yummy fudge brownies just for you! I found the recipe's on the internet and they are very yummy and easy to make! I made them while Mom and Dad went out for an early dinner! Grab one or two or three! I made plenty!

I also received a couple of presents today from St. Valentine's!!!! I got a new bed because I destroyed the other one when I was sick (I said it was the drug's that made me do it). I got a cutsie dress that say's Spoiled on it (why I really don't know). A really pretty pink sweater with tiny white flower's on it and a new Pink Bear!!!!!!!!!! Which by the way I named Cinda! I know, in the picture I don't look too happy..... I am..... You all know how I feel about wearing clothes........ I HATE wearing clothes! But it makes my Mom happy and her happiness is mine!

Ok. So Mom and Dad took me last weekend for a re-check. My doctor said I am a lot better. Although, I am a bit confused, because if I am all better, why can't I climb stairs anymore, limited to short walks, and have to use small steps to get up on and off the bed or couch??? Does this mean I am just getting too old for my brain? I mean, I still feel like a young gal! I "know" I can run a mile without any problem, the thing is, can my body handle it? Boy, if this is what it means to get old..... my poor Mom..... she's ancient then!!!!! (oops. Did I say that out loud?)

Bathtime because I stink? Moi?

Mom said enough was enough. She insisted on giving me a bath, which undoubtably, is NOT my favorite pasttime. However, I really must admit, I LOVE the heat of hair dryer and especially when she's using this pawsome comb called the "furminator." It really helps a gal to get all the tangles out and the excess hair (espcially when shedding).

Here's a quick snipet of me attempting to dry myself before the hair dryer came out. I always do my best to get on my mom's nerves!!!! If you listen real hard, you will hear Bono & Edge in the background! I love U2!!!!

A new crate in the box......

Mom finally decided to downsize my crate to one that fits me perfectly. My first one was way too big - besides,I hated it! When she bought the ginormous one, mom had never utilized a crate in the past. She thought that the one for my size was way too little and I needed much more room. Not good. So today she came home with my new crate that fits me!!!! I also got a new sheepa rug for it and she bought me another jacket...... the jacket is a size small and didn't realize it till I pointed it out. Mom!! I wear size medium!!!!! Mr. Willy Monkey is in the picture being silly.... he's my best friend!!!

Good day Sunshine! Thanks to Mother Nature!

Since Mother Nature has given us a reprieve and let Mr. Sunshine out this weekend, on Saturday I made sure to get the old parents out for a drive. We spent the day antiquing at Downtown Pomona.

You can find a lot of great stuff here. The store's on this street were once all painted as the scene for Cat in the Hat (Dr Seuss). This is why this store is still bright green. although through the years the paint has worn off, it was pretty cool after the movie filmed to know this was "IT!"

In the picture above, look at the building. How many of your parents remember Kress? My mom does. She said she remembers going there as a kid!

It was a bit chilly out, but momma thinks of everything! I in my pink stroller with my favorite furry red blanket just kept me very warm! Not to say the least for her - she was cold - but then again, she is always complaining of being cold.

We went into the various stores looking at toy's. Dad bought mom another snoopy toy. It is sooo cute.I forgot to take a picture of it before mom took it to her office. I love it when the attention is focused on moi!!! I love it! At one of my favorite stores, the nice ladies there told mom to give me a teaspoon of olive oil each day to help my spine. She said she had neck surgery and saw on Dr. Oz (pooie) that a teaspoon a day helps even for the four legged hooman's such as us. Mom said she would do some research and google it Do any of your mom's know this? Perhaps if they do, they can share some info with my mom.

Dad found another Superman glass. He keeps buying them and mom keeps dropping them!

On Sunday, we woke up bright and early! Dad took mom to eat at one of their favorite breakfast establishments in our very own Old Town Orange. I was soo excited when they said I was going along! That meant another outting for me too!

Old town Orange is a nice cozy little town filled with the local's walking around (especially the young one's that go to Chapman University).

Our town is also tourist town. And because it is, we don't go there as often as we like. It's busy all year long, as we are a few miles from both Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm. Us local's call it "the circle" as it litterally goes in a round circle.

For a minute there, I was able to get out of my stroller to do my business (of course mom wouldn't forget that!)

I inspected the peemail along the way. Lot's of different mail all around.

I even managed to take a few picture's of other poofer's walking their human's as well. I couldn't find any other's in strollers.

Some of them chuckled as they saw me.... other's barked at me and told me I should be walking and not be a spoiled princess!

I just wanted to clobber him over the noggin - couldn't he see I am sick and unable to walk much - Doctor's orders! Duh!!!!!! If I had my way, I would be running all over the place! I feel great thanks to those little white things mom wraps inthe kraft cheese! Bol!

We even saw this really cool bike too! I thought mom's bike was the coolest, but this one is the bestest I ever saw! It is so girlie!!

I got out of the stroller again and walked a teensie bit more. I got to smell some new smells.

I was a bit upset because our outting was coming to an end. I wanted to stay out in the sun a bit longer. But mom had to go somewhere very important today and I couldn't go.
Oh well till the next outting.... Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!

On a sidenote:

Speaking of Kraft cheese, or umm is it just in my head (my thought only), I just have got to mention the Sunday posting over at Martha & Bailey's regarding the letter to Mango Monster 2010 - I must say Mom could not stop BOL!! She was practically rolling all over the floor! Hey! What's wrong with liking Kraft cheese anyway! I LOVE IT!!!!! She laughed so hard she was crying as she was watching me post a comment. I was a tad bit worried about her (as I rolled my paw in a circle closest to my head implying koo-koo!).

Member of the Pup Scout's of America!

Today, I became an offical member of the Pup Scouts of America! Thanks to Captain Crunch, Candy Ms. Bailey and Ms Martine for all the hard work and deication that they put into this first Pups Scout's of America meeting today! It was really a special moment for me and mom (dad too but he won't admit it publically) when I raised my right paw and took my oath. They also sang along with me as I proudly sang the pupper scout songs. Although I am not supposed to, but I was moving around with excitment as I sang!!!!! Be sure to check out my membership card and my beautiful badge (above)!!!!

Ms. Bailey doesn't waste any time what so ever! She made sure that today was not just about fun, but it was also about educating us (and mom too!). Our first lesson was about keeping us safe on leshes. Sometimes my mommy forgets how important this really is!!

It is also very important that we contribute to our cause in being good community helpers and also raising lot's of moola by selling biscuits. I can't wait to sell the biscuits! I am so excited! I am going to see if my niece Kayla (whom is a real life Brownie) will go with me and she can sell her Girl Scout cookies and I can sell my biscuits! Secretly, I want to get my daddy's credit card and buy up all the biscuits for myself so that when they are at work I can have my furiends over and pawty!!!!!!!

I asked my mom if we can crochet some Pup Scouts of America scarfs for my friends. She said maybe she can make enough of them and have a contest or something so that we can make sure everyone gets one!! I hope my mom can hurry up and go this weekend to buy some yarn and make me a Pup Scout scarf! I can help her by supervising her!!!!

400 macaronies later.......

By Sunday early morning, I was getting worse by the day (and night). Moms said she didn't think it was author itis (arthritis) and so she said she was taking me to my nephew's doctor. Wow! It was a great thing we went. The doc poked here and there, checked my tempature, checked my reflexes in my footsies too! The physical went on for a long time. He said he didn't believe it was in my hips because the way my hind leg's were reflexing! He thought it was in my spine closes to my shoulders. But, he wouldn't know for sure until they ran some x-rays. He said that it may also be a viral infection but didn't think so. He wanted to rule that out with bloodwork. Mom and dad said ok.

This is where mom and dad were separated from me. I went to another room and they did a bunch of x-rays. here there and every where. Then they poked me with a huge fat needle and drew my blood. Gosh - for a bit thereI thougt they were gonna make a blood shake for a vampire! Once my pictures were back, mom and dad viewed them with the doctor. He showed them that the little bones in my spine (two of them) were really close together. This is caused by a blood clot. He gave me a few shots (ouch!) and some medication to take home. The doctor said that for the next 4 weeks, I must not jump on the couch, bed or climb any stairs (that takes the fun out of life!). Nor can I do much walking. He said that this is a common issue with dog's with long spines. My mother was baffled but said it made sense because I am always dancing like a ballerina and running around really fast and jumping up and down.

Momwas really concerned if I would have a good "quality" of life with this. I am not sure what she meant by that but she was very teary eyed. He said that these first 30 days are very very important! I need to get a lot of rest and take all my meds. One of them is a muscle relaxer too. I feel really great. Mom and dad spazed out because she went to the girls room and came out and found me on the bed. She was upset at dad and said he should have been watching me. I snuck away and went to lie down. Another time I snuck out the from door when daddy opened it to greet mom as she parked the car. I ran down the stairs! That time I really got it from both of them. It was funny!

My poor mommy wakes up in the middle of the night to make me drink water and take my potty. The doctor said the stair roids (steroids) would make me eat a lot more and drink a lot water. There's only one problem.... I'm not too thirsty or hungrier more than usual. I don't like being confined, but mom say's that she needs me to get better. Since she is sick too, I help her get through the tough day's. I love my mommy (and daddy too).
Dad makes me laugh because as soon as he comes home he carries me outside to do my business. He tries to make me walk around because they said they don't want my muscles getting weak. But I don't want to walk around outside. I just want to be inside where I can lay down. Dad say's the muscle relaxer's have me feeling this way.
Oh well...... there's always my doggie stroller!!!!!

Justa tad bit under the weather these days....

I'm just not feeling it much these past two days. Mom took me to the vet and they wanted $200 buckaroos just to take x-rays! The vet gave my me a shot in my hiney (red faced) and put me on aunty biotics? Dont know who that is...... mom said it's not a person, it's medication. The vet said I have a bit of author writis????? But I told her I don't have that name on my blog... I'm Hailey. She said I must really feel under the weather because I am just not funny at all. She explained to me that my hips have what they call arthritis. That when it get's cold my lil ol' bones ache. That's why she has to carry me up and down the stairs, feed me by hand in my bed and give me my water and massage my hips to help me go to sleep. She wants all your mom's and dad's out there to recommend any good herbal remedies. She said she know's I can take glucosamine in doggy form but not sure of a good brand. So if any of you know.... please give us a shout out! Even if you have other suggestions too! Thanks everyone!

Another summertime excursion - Kings Harbor - Redondo Beach Ca

We took a drive to Redondo Beach California and visited the pier - Kings Harbor.

I really liked the art on the corner especially because there were tall shrubs which I really enjoy walking through. Dad wouldn't stop the car.....

The cloudy day had some sparks of sunshine here and there. Over all the weather was wonderful!

We walked along the way to some really huge rocks. This old rusty thingy looks like an old boat slip no longer in use.

I really enjoyed the water and watching the little boats...

Dad tried to make me walk on this wall...... he must have lost a marble or two........ there was no way I would walk on it even for liver treats - way too scary!!!!

I saw someone deep in thought. I hope he was contemplating what kind of treats to buy his precious doggy!!!

I got really close to this two legged furiend...... I almost got to touch it before snapping the picture!!!!

We kept walking a ways.... no bridge crossing for me today!

I tried to tell Dad that the rocks were ruining my mani and pedi!!! Would he listen???

Dad!!!!!!! Here comes a furiend and my nails are starting to look scruffy! DAD!!!!!!!!

I then came across this really cooooool chick on a yacht! She really lives on it with her mommy! My mom was talking to her mommy Ruth and found out that Millie likes to sit on the seat and do ride alongs with her mommy on the motorcycle!!!!! WOW!!! Her mom gave us her email address and said she would email us some photos of Millie riding on the bike and wearing goggles!!!!! When we get them I will share!!!!

A summer day excursion - Wildlife Sanctuary

We went to the Wildlife Sanctuary. It was really hot out that day!

Grandkid girly wanted me to be in charge of walking her.

We came across this really cool bird house....... someone said they thought it was a squirrel house???? Yikes run!

So grandkid girly and I went and walked with dad.

She said we would be safe with dad!

OMD! Then we really were glad we were walking with dad because the notice below said there was resent snake sightings!

Were were there on July 18th! Scary!!!!!!

We then decided to go look for the koi and water turtles...

Didn't find any on that side so we crossed the bridge.

I wanted to jump in the water it was so hot!!!!

I didn't have a penny to drop in the wishing well.

So we kept walking to see what else we would discover.....

I wasn't quite sure what had dad's attention,

but whatever it was, he was pretty busy with it.....

I found the water turtle! He is swimming around!

I then found a huge land turtle!!!!!

Then I found two more ginormous land turtles! No! wait! Those are furiends - huh? Coming out of the public bathrooms!!! BOL!!!!!!!

I came across a goat that had been rescued during the fires last year.

Isn't he adorable?

Mom and dad said I had to give a donation to the wildlife sanctuary because it helps to maintain the grounds and allows me to be able to come back and enjoy this place. I was a bit upset because I couldn't have a coin to toss in the wishing well. Oh well.... she's probably right anyway......

Remembering 9-11 and doing something about it - Share the Love

In Remembrance of September 11, 2001, Hailey and I will not be posting Flower Friday. Instead we would like to share our Thank You to Everyone for being Hero's everyday. This country is a fabulous place and we are thankful to the many that lend a helping hand to make it what it is each and every day.

Always remember that Love and Kindness go a long way in our everyday walks of life. No matter what color someones skin is, no matter what tongue they speak, no matter what God they worship, no matter what $$$$$ sign they have next to their name..... we ALL have one thing in common - WE ARE ALL HUMAN BEINGS and have the same right to enjoy this wonderful planet as one.

I entered the 'Most "EAR" resistible Contest' at Bentley and Lexus Page

Ok. So I figure that God's gift to me should very well be worth it's weight in gold. right? Yup - It's my giganormous ears!!! I've had to live with them all my life and listen to furiends and hoomans say what a cute gal I am - but those ear's are just ........ just what??? Just huge!

So I thought I would enter them (huge ears) in a contest for the "ear" resistible given by Bentley and Lexus. So please be sure to VOTE for me by visiting their page and following the rules! You too can enter the contest with your favorite "ear"resistible photo! You don't have to have HUGE ears - just ears for listening in or something funny!!!! I am sooooo excited as this is my first contest! It's not winning that counts but participation is the PAWSOMEIST!!!!!!!!!!

I made a new furiend 'Tessa the Maltese' and I invited her to enter the contest - She has some VERY IMPORTANT ears! She would certainly have my vote!!!
